When classroom Smart Boards began showing their age, the MASD Technology Department starting searching for a replacement option. The solution they discovered is revolutionizing instruction in the Middletown elementary classrooms. In the fall of 2021, Clear Touch Panels began appearing in classrooms. “They have completely changed the way I teach,” says Reid 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Brojakowski. “I love how interactive they are and how they have increased student engagement in learning." The Clear Touch Panels aren’t just writing boards, they are computers. Teachers can access the internet for research and display their lesson plans for instruction. Students can work on their classwork on their iPads while the same activity is being completed by a teacher or multiple students on the Panel eliminating downtime for students. Up to 20 individuals can write on the Panel at a time increasing engagement and participation. The video below shows the Clear Touch Panels in action in the MASD elementary schools.
