Applications are being accepted for seasonal positions available with the Middletown Area Recreation Alliance (MARA). These positions will be responsible for leading small and large group activities, fostering the physical, social, and emotional growth of the participants, and facilitating a fun and safe environment. Successful candidates should have prior experience working with children; must have a valid driver’s license; should be First Aid and CPR certified; should be lifeguard certified; and have demonstrated leadership skills.
Hours of work will vary based upon the position. Counselors will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Floating Counselors will work Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
These seasonal summer positions are projected to begin on June 8, 2020 and continue through August 14, 2020. Required pre-service training days will be scheduled prior to the start of the program on June 8, 2020.
Individuals under the age of 18 may apply for these positions. However if hired, these individuals would be considered Junior Counselors and paid an hourly rate of $8.75.
